  • I’m diverse and understand diversity
  • I am young and have lots of ideas, I am not a politician, I have street experience, and I understand the administrative and patrol officer view. I am still an active peace officer and work the streets.
  • I know what it is to be on both ends and I know how to accommodate the citizens I serve and the people I work under and my subordinates.
  • I have the experience of being discriminated against and will make sure that doesn’t happen on my watch as Sheriff.
  • I have extensive training background so I will make sure all deputies and jailers are trained and taken care of.
  • After all, people want to see more training, which is an issue in almost all agencies.
  • I will get government funding to bring the office to 21st century policing.

First and foremost, we need to be able to trust one another. Your safety and the safety of your children is my #1 priority. Let's work together to make that happen, then the rest shall be much easier than you'd think.

  1. Create full-time specialized units to combat these issues, work closely with the judges and prosecutors.
  2. Work with other agencies in the area, Dallas Co. and surrounding agencies, including the Governor’s office and DPS/ FBI
  3. Regular press conferences to make the public aware of the updates on crime fighting and other sheriff/community related issues.
  4. Hire more staff, open up the opportunity for lateral transfer w/o having to join the DSO's own academy.

2- The staff at the jail and streets are underpaid and overworked under the current and past administration, millions of dollars are spent on OT, the morale is low, and the staff is short.

3- There are no designated units that handle these growing problems, and the people who suffer the most, are the citizens.

4- Forming licensed security teams for places of worship and training them on active shooter response. Quarterly or semi-annual training

I don't claim to be better than anyone, but I know what people of the county I grew up in want, and I know they are tired of the issues that are not being addressed, and I'm not a politician. I've helped build police agencies and bring positive change to them. I have done it several times, and I'm doing the same again with Dallas County.
